Colleagues and customers at Argos in The Richmond Centre are celebrating this week after their fundraising event in store last Saturday raised a fantastic £300 for their charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support. The money raised will fund Macmillan nursing hours, helping to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. Louise Ferry, Store Manager at Argos in The Richmond Centre said: “To coincide with the launch of our new 2017 Spring Summer range/catalogue, we decided to organise a fundraising event for our charity partner Macmillan. "It was a fantastic day and the team really enjoyed taking part in our static cycle in store. I’m so proud of my team for all their hard work in raising funds for Macmillan, which goes towards providing many hours of Macmillan nursing care. "The turnout from the local community on the day was brilliant, and it’s fantastic to know we have been able to make a difference for such a great cause.” Since voting to support Macmillan as their UK charity partner in 2015, Argos colleagues and customers have raised £1.5 million, funding over 53,000 hours of Macmillan nursing care to help Macmillan provide even more support for people affected by cancer.
