Derry woman re-released on bail under strict new "no internet" restrictions

A woman who appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with breaching her bail in relation to her son.

Collette McCallion (56) of Glendale Road in Derry is currently on bail for several charges of domestic harassment involving her son.

One of her bail conditions is that she has no contact with her son.

A police officer told the court that on December 11 and December 14 she contacted the man and then on December 18 she posted on social media. 

The court heard that police were agreeable to bail with a new condition that she has no Internet enabled devices. 

McCallion was re-released on bail with the added condition that she does not possess any Internet enabled devices and will appear again on January 14.
