£250,000 fraud case involving Donegal woman adjourned at Derry Magistrate's Court

Derry Magistrate's Court

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with breaching his bail conditions after being seen in an area he was not supposed to be in.

Alan Luukas (47) of Foyle Park in Derry was arrested after, on December 16, being noted as being in Waterloo Place, somewhere he was previously prohibited from going as a part of his bail conditions.

He was also said to be intoxicated, another breach.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott argued that, as he was under the drink driving limit, Luukas was technically not intoxicated.

Police reported that he gave a reading of 33mgs while the driving limit is 35mgs.

The other breach was accepted without issue.

District Judge Oonagh Mullan released him on bail with a final warning, telling him that another breach will see him remanded in custody.

He will appear again on January 28.
