Foyleside - People Before Profit holds its seat.

Foyleside comprises four district electoral areas: Springtown, Foyle Springs, Northland, and Madam’s Bank. It has 5 seats.

In 2014, it returned 2 SDLP, 2 Sinn Féín and 1 Independent candidate.

In 2019, it returned 2 SDLP, 1 Sinn Féin, 1 People Before Profit and 1 independent candidate. People Before Profit gained a seat from Sinn Féin.

In 2023, Foyleside returned 2 SDLP, 2 Sinn Féin and 1 People Before Profit candidate.

The candidates elected in Foyleside were: Lilian Seenoi Barr (SDLP), Shauna Cusack (SDLP), Shaun Harkin (People Before Profit), Conor Heaney (Sinn Féin), and Grace Uí Niallais (Sinn Féin).

Seán Mac Cearáin(Aontú), Stephen McCallion (SDLP), and Danny McCloskey (Alliance) were eliminated.

Another first-time councillor, Grace Uí Niallais, almost made it over the line on first preference votes, landing just 79 votes short of the quota. The SDLP’s Lilian Seenoi Barr took the fifth seat and was elected without reaching the quota.

The first preference tallies were: Lilian Seenoi Barr (960), Shauna Cusack (948), Shaun Harkin (979), Conor Heaney (1,846), Seán Mac Cearáin (423), Stephen McCallion (626), Danny McCloskey (266), and Grace Uí Niallais (1,115).

In 2023, the total number of the Foyleside electorate was 13,372. The Turnout was 54.58%. There were 7,299 votes cast. There were 136 invalid votes. There were 7,163 valid votes and the quota was set at 1,194.

The party share of the vote in Moor was: Alliance 4%, Aontú 6%, People Before Profit 14%, SDLP 35% and Sinn Féin 41%
