A fire has broken out at a house in Derry's city centre. The fire started a short time ago at a property at Chamberlain Street. Four fire engines are currently at the scene and a number of other houses have been evacuated. One of the first people on the scene was well-known local fireman Mickey Feeney (pictured above at the scene). Mickey and another man entered the house after claims that there was a man in the property. However, it turned out that there was no one in the house. It is not yet clear exactly how much damage has been caused to the house. People are being asked to avoid the area while the emergency operation continues.
