Charlotte Caldwell, mother to Billy, has appeared on This Morning talking about how her son was the first child in Ireland or the UK to be  prescribed medicinal cannabis. Billy, from Castlederg, County Tyrone suffers from intractable and status epilepsy which means the seizures he suffers cannot be controlled by medication or diet. The cannabis has been proven to help with the eleven-year-old's treatment. Speaking on April 19th, when Billy got his prescription, Charlotte said: "Crying happy tears. History has being made today. "Billy is the first child in Ireland and UK to be prescribed medicinal cannabis via NHS prescription! "A huge heartfelt thank you to Greenlight Medicine and our wee Warriors Doctor. Truly indebted to you both. "Our wee epilepsy warrior is 82 days seizure free today! "Feeling so very blessed. "One very proud mummy today." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn_H7Watshc&feature=share
