Man charged at Derry Court of guinea pig cruelty and multiple assaults on female

A case was adjourned at Derry Magistrate's Court today where a man has been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a guinea pig. 

Trevor Robert Kelly (39) of Duncastle Road in Newbuildings outside Derry was charged with causing unnecessary suffering to the animal on March 3 this year.

He also faced four charges of assaulting the same female as well as a charge of causing criminal damage to a car on the same date.

The case was adjourned until April 2.
