Derry man charged with a series of charges including possessing a machete

Martin Whoriskey (35) of Clon Dara in Derry appeared charged with possessing a machete, threatening to damage property, assaulting police and common assault

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrates' Court today charged with a series of charges including possessing a machete. 
Martin Whoriskey (35) of Clon Dara in Derry appeared charged with possessing a machete, threatening to damage property, assaulting police and common assault.
All of the offences were said to have occurred on March 27 and March 28.
A police officer connected the accused to the charges and told the court bail would be agreed subject to conditions. 
These conditions included an address pre-approved by the PSNI, no alcohol and curfew and tag.
He will appear again on April 2.
