Féile’s Connect:Interact:Create programme, funded by the Executive Office, delivered a packed programme of good relations events across the Bogside, Bishop Street, Fountain, and Brandywell neighbourhoods.
Over 2,000 people from all backgrounds and ages came together and took part in the programme - including large family gatherings, creative workshops, bus trips, heritage and photo exhibitions, art projects, and much more.
Féile have worked alongside schools, youth clubs, community groups and others to deliver successful, impactful events which are firmly focused on building a brighter future and contributing to making our city an amazing place to live, work, study, and play.
The concerning rise in racist and sectarian tensions and recent incidents at interfaces, demonstrate how vital this work is, and the importance of continuing this work to unite people and communities.
While this programme has been hugely successful in bringing people together and creating a positive alternative through strengthening relationships, there is still much more work to be done.
A huge thank you to all of the local schools, community organisations, youth clubs, venues, and all of our partners, facilitators and participants who helped make this programme a success.
