Speaking to Derry Now about her priorities for her year as Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Patricia Logue (Sinn Féin said one of her priorities was "Council & outside bodies working together to bring investment to the city".
Mayor Logue added: "This whole Council district has been through a very, very difficult time between covid and then the cost of living crisis and we have heard about job losses and lack of funding.
"So, I think, we as a Council need to work together, with all of the outside bodies to try and bring more investment to this city. We have highly skilled people and we need to bring jobs for those people, to help them to stay in our Council district.
"You would have also heard that I have two chosen charities. One that is especially close to my heart is the Ryan McBride Foundation, for which I hope to be raising very much needed funds, as well as the Foyle Hospice, which we all need and most of us have used during our lifetime.
