VOX POP: Gaelcholaiste Dhoire pupils on their favourite thing about the school

The students of Gaelcholaiste Dhoire tell The Derry News what their favourite thing is about the school and what is so special about speaking Irish, and what type of job they wanted in the future and in what way would Irish help?

Is breá liomsa an chamógaíocht agus an pheil agus bíonn an deis agam bheith ag imirt ar son na scoile. Tá an hábhair nua a dhéanann muid anseo go hiontach fosta.

I love camogie and Gaelic and I have the opportunity to play for the school. The new subjects we learn at school are great as well.

Is í ár dteanga í agus tá mé iontach bródúil go bhfuil mé ábalta í a labhairt – níl gach duine ábalta sin a dhéanamh.

Irish is our language and I am so proud that I am able to speak it – not everyone is able to do that.

Ba mhaith liom bheith i mo fhiaclóir agus bheinn ábalta seirbhís i Gaeilge a chur ar fáil do phobal na Gaeilge – agus freastail ar dhaoine trí Bhéarla fosta.

I would like to be a dentist and be able to provide my service through Irish for the Irish speaking community – as well as working with people through English.
