IN PICTURES: Wonderful Valentine's Day Crafty Teddies workshops in Swatragh

Over 40 children enjoyed the workshops with tutor, Joanne Brown, in Granaghan & District Women's Group

In response to demand, Granaghan & District Women's Group (Swatragh) organised two more hugely enjoyable Crafty Teddies workshops last Saturday, February 14.

Over 40 children enjoyed the workshops with tutor, Joanne Brown.

The children started off by picking and then stuffing their own teddy, then gave it a name, and filled in a wee birth certificate for it. Next, the children made a silent wish and placed a star inside their teddy. They all were given a “golden” frame too, to keep the certificate safe!

The Crafty Teddies workshops were made possible due to funding awarded to the women’s group by the PHA via CLEAR.

The children were also treated to fresh fruit.

The local women's group would like to thank committee members who helped out on the day, and before - Noelle, Cathy, Annie, Ann, Roisin, Shauna and Deirdre and all the mums and grandparents, who stayed to help out on the day. It was an absolutely fabulous morning. Magical memories for children and adults alike. We had two sets of twins at the workshops and a birthday girl, Maeve, who just turned 4 on Saturday.

Loads more fun activities coming up for children. Next up will be Jumping Clay for St. Patrick’s Day.
