Patsy McGlone (SDLP)
The longest-serving MLA in Mid Ulster, Patsy McGlone will this year contest his seventh Assembly election, with three Westminster elections thrown in for good measure.
A fluent Irish speaker, the Ballinderry man is also the SDLP's Agriculture spokesperson and Deputy Speaker in the Assembly.
He was first elected as a councillor in the Cookstown ward in 1993, and polled 6,419 first preference votes in the 2017 Assembly election.
