Meath Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the incident which occurred on the R160 at Ardanew, Co Meath.
Two people were hospitalised when a school bus carrying primary school children from Broadsmill National School overturned on Tuesday afternoon, September 3.
According to media reports, Broadsmill NS principal, James Battersby sent an email on Tuesday evening assuring parents that everyone involved in the incident was "safe and well".
"As some of you may be aware, one of the school buses was involved in an accident after school today. I want to assure you that everyone is safe and well," it read.
“Trim Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to a road traffic collision involving a school bus carrying primary school aged children, which overturned," a statement from An Garda Síochana read.
"The incident occurred yesterday afternoon at approximately 3.20pm on the R160 at Ardanew."
"Two people from the bus were taken to hospital with minor injuries,” Meath gardaí said on social media.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have dashcam footage are asked to please contact Trim Garda Station on 046-9486140."
