GARDAÍ are investigating the discharge of a firearm in the Limerick city area this Thursday morning.
The incident occured at a property on the Hyde Road during the early hours, an area in close proximity to Limerick Colbert train station.
It is understood that a section of Hyde Road has been closed off between Childers Road and Lenihan Avenue to facilitate investigations, and motorists should be aware of traffic delays.
No injuries have been reported.
