ARCTIC Monkeys have been left “extremely sorry” after being forced to cancel their Dublin show.
The band extended their apologies after announcing their Marlay Park show has been cancelled, which was due to take place this Tuesday.
The decision came after lead singer and bassist, Alex Turner, was diagnosed with acute laryngitis. Following medical advice, he has been ordered to rest.
Arctic Monkeys wrote a message to their Irish fans on social media, confirming tickets will be refunded.
“We are extremely sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys' show at Marlay Park in Dublin tomorrow. Alex is suffering from acute laryngitis, and following medical advice, has been ordered to rest,” wrote the band on social media.
They added: “Alex and the band apologise for the huge disappointment this will inevitably cause to all their Irish fans. Full refunds will be credited back to the ticket purchaser’s account by TicketMaster within the next six working days.”
