Milesian Manor has proudly presented a donation of £668 to Children’s Heartbeat Trust following a successful Sports Day fundraiser held at the home last month.
Residents, families and staff at the Magherafelt care home came together for an afternoon of fun, laughter and friendly competition, taking part in a range of games and activities in support of the charity.
Although the weather prompted a last-minute move indoors, the enthusiasm and team spirit were still on display.
From Pass the Parcel to a raffle featuring generously donated prizes from local businesses, the day provided plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved.
The funds were recently presented to Joanne McCallister, Chief Executive Officer at Children’s Heartbeat Trust, during a cheque handover at Milesian Manor.
Julie Wallace, Lifestyle Care Home Manager at Milesian Manor, said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported our Sports Day fundraiser. It was wonderful to have our residents, their families, staff and the wider community come together for such an enjoyable day, all while raising money for a fantastic cause. We are delighted to present this donation to Children’s Heartbeat Trust and support the valuable work they do for children and families across Northern Ireland.”
Milesian Manor would also like to extend its sincere thanks to the local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes and helped make the fundraiser such a success.
They include: Atchison Hair, BEN'S Ice Cream Studio, Cornerstone Coffee Co, Cuddys, FlanaBakes, Furniture World NI, Mamo, McClenaghan Family Butchers, McGlaughlins Pharmacy and O'Briens Pharmacy.
Their kindness and support played an important role in helping raise funds for such a worthy cause.
