Men’s Action Network (MAN) has honoured the memory of Seamus Quinn on the first anniversary of his passing, recognising the extraordinary generosity of the community that has raised more than £27,000 for the charity in his name.

The fundraising included a significant contribution from Seamus’s son, Micheal Quinn, who took on the Belfast Marathon in his father’s memory.

The money raised through the generosity of family friends and the wider public has made a meaningful difference to the charity and reflects the lasting impact seamus had on those around him.

To mark the anniversary, MAN has dedicated a permanent support room to Seamus, creating a lasting tribute to a man whose memory continues to mean so much to his family and friends.

The Seamus Quinn Room features his photograph alongside words chosen with his family, reflecting their love for him and the values they wish to carry forward in his memory.

John McAtamney, MAN Chairperson, said: “The Quinn family’s wishes will guide every part of this tribute.

We will listen carefully and work in partnership with them so that the photograph, wording and final presentation are personal, appropriate and true to Seamus’s memory.”

The more than £27,000 raised in Seamus memory is a testament to the generosity of the community and the strength of feeling for Seamus and his family.

Michael Lynch, MAN Coordinator, said: “Anniversaries can bring many memories and emotions to the surface.

As Seamus’s family reaches this difficult milestone, we want them to know that they remain in our thoughts and that Seamus continues to hold an enduring place in the lives of those who knew and loved him.”

John Mc Atamney chairperson MAN added: “Community and compassion matter most at difficult times.

Our role is to stand alongside the family, respect their wishes and ensure that every aspect of this remembrance is handled with care”

MAN expresses its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the fundraising effort.
