Swimming pools to reopen to public

All the pools at Greenvale Leisure Centre in Magherafelt, Co Derry, will re-open tomorrow morning. The pools, including the 50 metre pool (pictured) were sealed off on Wednesday night last after a glass panel in the viewing gallery fell and smashed by the poolside. It had been anticipated the pools would remain closed over the weekend. However, this afternoon Mid Ulster Council said they would reopen tomorrow morning but the viewing gallery would remain closed. A spokesperson said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank everyone for their patience and understanding to date.”
