Woman charged with robbery and assault at Derry Magistrate's Court

A woman has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with a number of offences including robbery and assault.

Selena Mongan (28) of no fixed abode was charged with, on January 6, robbing £400, an offence that was aggravated by domestic abuse.

She was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a Jack Daniels bottle.

On August 21 last year, Mongan was charged with burglary, again aggravated by domestic abuse, and, on January 5 this year, stealing money.

Bail was agreed under conditions that she reside in an address approved by police, have no contact with the injured parties, does not enter Ebrington Terrace or Drummond Park, abstain from alcohol and submit to breath tests when asked by police.

She will appear again on February 4.
