Derry woman returned for trial on series of sexual offences

A woman has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of sexual offences.

Nicole Scott (31) of Holly Lane in the grounds of Gransha Hospital appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court

She faced four charges including two counts of attempted incitement of a child to engage in sexual activity on January 20 and January 29 2024.

She was also charged with attempted sexual communication with a child on January 28 2024.

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Scott said she did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

She was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on February 3 and released on bail.
