Claudy woman celebrates 40 years of service to St Colmcille's Primary School

Susan McCloskey has been celebrating forty years of service to St Colmcille’s Primary School in Claudy.

Mrs McCloskey, who works as a cleaner and lunchtime supervisor, was honoured with a celebratory event at the school where she was joined by her team, non-teaching staff and teaching staff, Father David O’Kane, Mr Liam Barnett, Mrs Briege O’Neill and Mr James Hasson.

St Colmcille’s Primary School aims to provide a happy, stimulating, safe and caring environment whereby each and every pupil can develop and achieve to the best of their ability. The school’s staff is enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working, supporting the pupils in all aspects of their learning.

For the pupils, Susan is the embodiment of the staff’s description while serving as a growing inspiration regarding her diligence and perseverance.

However, Susan also helps to promote the idea of being highly-motivated as well as developing attitudes which will enable the pupils to contribute within a multi-cultural society.
