‘Not guilty’ plea to burglary, robbery and violent offences

A 44-year-old man at a Derry court has denied burglary, robbery, a serious assault and threatening to kill a man. Glen Smith of no fixed abode appeared before Derry Crown Court charged with the offences, which are said to have taken place on June 8, 2017. Smith was accused of burglary with intent to steal at a house in Virginia Court. He is also charged with robbery of £30 cash, a laptop, extension lead, items of clothing and a car key. He is also said to have assaulted one man and threatened to kill another. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all offences. He will appear back before the court again on May 1.
