Council Election 2019: No further candidates elected at the second stage in Derry

No further candidates have been elected at the second stage of the local authority election in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area. In Foyleside,where the SDLP's Mary Durkan topped the poll, John Doherty (Alliance) was eliminated at the first stage and when his vote of 305 was divided amongst the remaining candidates the results were as follows. The quota for election is 1,227. Sean Carr (Independent) +32 and is now on 854. Michael Cooper (Sinn Fein) +9 and is now on 897 Shauna Cusack (SDLP) +81 and is now on 1,209 (requires 18 more votes) Hayleigh Fleming (Sinn Fein) +12 and is now on 644 and looks likely to be the next eliminated candidate Shaun Harkin (PBPA) +81 and is now on 1,058 Eric McGinley (Sinn Fein) +8 and is now on 661 Lilian Seenoi-Barr (SDLP) +54 and now stands on 775. In Faughan no candidate was elected on the first count but Conor Heaney of Sinn Fein was eliminated having achieved 324 votes. The quota for election in this DEA is 1,191 When his vote was shared amongst the remaining candidates the results were as follows: Rachel Ferguson (Alliance) +12 and is now on 795 Paul Fleming (Sinn Fein) +262 and is now 1,116 Gus Hastings (SDLP) +7 and stands at 498 and looks likely to eliminated next William Jamieson (UUP) +0 and is on 710 Ryan McCready (DUP) +0 and is now on 940 Jim McKeever (SDLP) +12 and stands at 577 Brenda Stevenson (SDLP) +24 and is now on 717 Graham Warke +0 and is on 1,050 Paul Hughes +4 and stands at 737 In the Ballyarnett DEA no candidate was elected at the first stage and the Alliance Party's Danny McCloskey was eliminated. When his tally of 340 was divided amongst the remaining candidates the results were as follows. The quota for this DEA IS 1,368 Nuala Crilly (PBPA) +93 and is now on 919 Sandra Duffy (Sinn Fein) +6 and stands on 905 Rory Farrell (SDLP) +85 and is on 1,255 at this point Caoimhe McKnight (Sinn Fein) + and is now on 664 Neil McLaughlin (Sinn Fein) +7 and is now on 545 and looks likely to be eliminated next Aileen Mellon (Sinn Fein) +3 and is now on 851 Brian Tierney (SDLP) +47 and stands on 1,282 Warren Robinson (Independent) +23 and is on 662 now.
