Aoife Boyle: Forever loved, never forgotten.
There was deep sadness across Eglinton and beyond as the community learned of death of young local woman, Aoife Boyle.
Aoife who died peacefully at Foyle Hospice was the cherished and beautiful daughter of Tanya and the late Martin; and the adored and devoted sister of Patrick, with whom she shared a special and unbreakable bond that will remain with him always.
Poignantly, Aoife’s death notice said she was now “reunited with her loving daddy, Martin, and her Burke and Boyle grandparents.
“Aoife will be forever loved and deeply missed by her heartbroken and devoted mother Tanya, whose world she was, and by Tanya’s loving partner Rob, who cared for Aoife with so much kindness; her loving brother Patrick; her dear aunties Tina, Patricia, and Emma; all her cousins, whom she loved so dearly; her extended family; and a wide circle of friends.
“Her gentle nature, bright smile, and kind heart touched so many, and her memory will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.”
Among the hundreds of online tributes paid to Aoife, her cousin, Leah Boyle said: “Absolutely heartbreaking. Rest in Paradise gorgeous girl, you were the best big cousin ever”.
Ciara Ní hAlluráin said: “This is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry for your loss Tanya and family. You are such a beautiful family. Aoife is a beautiful girl. She was amazing with my daughter and she still remembers you both so fondly. Lots of love to you all. RIP Aoife x”.
“So sorry to hear this. There are no words for such a heartbreaking loss. Sending love to Tanya and family on the loss of Aoife. Such a beautiful angel in this life and the next. May she rest in peace xxx.”
Aoife’s wake will take place in her home, 18, Cherry Drive, Eglinton, BT47 3US, on Thursday and Friday (April 16 and 17) from 11.00am to 10.00pm.
Her funeral will take place from there on Saturday at 10.20am for 11 o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Tamnaherin, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Aoife’s family has requested family flowers only, with donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Foyle Hospice, 61, Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE.
