Man facing trial for alleged Christmas Eve affray in Derry

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a charge of affray that was alleged to have occurred on Christmas Eve. 

Dean Clark (30) of Haywood Avenue in Belfast appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today. 

He was charged with one count that he fought and made an affray on December 24 2025.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

When asked if he wished to call any witnesses or make any statement Clark answered no.

He was returned for trial in custody to appear at Derry Crown Court on May 13.
