Firefighters at Crescent Link Fire Station are trading in their hoses for sponges to tackle dirt and grime in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
The public are invited to get their cars sparkling clean this weekend when a charity car wash will take place at the Crescent Link station in Derry on Saturday, March 7, from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to providing life-changing mental, physical, and social support to past and present fire service personnel and their families across the UK.
Local crews will be on hand throughout the day to wash vehicles in exchange for a donation. The event offers a unique opportunity for the Derry community to meet their local firefighters while supporting a cause that ensures those who risk their lives for others receive the care they need in times of crisis.
In a social media, they said: "Bring your car along, get it sparkling clean, and help support the charity that provides vital care and support to firefighters and their families across the UK.
