Derry man remanded over alleged threats to kill

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with using the telecommunications network to send a message that was menacing or threatening. 

Sean Brennan (26) of Moss Park in Derry faced a total of three charges.

He was charged with sending a threatening message on March 1.

He was also charged with making a threat to kill a woman and threatening to damage her property on March 1.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges and the court was told by Adam Laird, defence counsel for Brennan, that the case was being adjourned until March 5 for a bail application.

Brennan was remanded in custody and will appear again on March 5.
