Derry man returned for trial on drug and counterfeit currency charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges and possessing criminal property. 

Ruarai Curtis (33) of St Brecan's Park in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court

He was charged with possessing a class A drug with intent to supply on January 11 2025.

He was also charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs on dates between January 7 and January 11 205.

Curtis was further charged with four other drug offences and a charge of possessing criminal property and possessing counterfeit notes on January 11 2025.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Curtis did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

Curtis was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on March 25 and released on continuing bail.
