The Western Trust Recovery College has officially unveiled its new Spring/Summer 2026 prospectus, offering a comprehensive range of free educational workshops dedicated to mental health and wellbeing.
The new term will bring popular courses to five key locations across the Trust area, running in Derry, Limavady, Enniskillen, Omagh, and Strabane. In a move to increase accessibility, the College is also offering some online evening sessions, for those who are interested in our workshops but are unable to attend in the daytime due to other commitments.
Introducing the start of the Spring/Summer 2026 Recovery College programme, Roisin O’Hanlon, Western Trust Recovery College Coordinator said: “I am delighted to welcome everyone to our free mental health and wellbeing education workshops. I am excited promote a wide range of workshops to our students this term. I believe the College has an important role to play in the recovery and maintenance of our mental health and wellbeing and I am happy to be part of that!
“The Recovery College continues to offer mental health and wellbeing workshops for everyone throughout the Western Trust area – whether you have a mental health diagnosis or not; whether you care for someone with mental health difficulties or whether you want to increase your knowledge and skills around looking after your mental health and wellbeing, please consider giving our sessions a try.
“All our courses are co-produced and co-facilitated by people with lived experience and mental health professionals, which provides an understanding of mental health from a holistic angle.

"We continue to be grateful for the support, time, experience and knowledge that is given from our students, peer educators, volunteers and staff within the community and the Western Trust area who help make the Recovery College so meaningful. As we move into the first term of 2026 we look forward with the knowledge that the Recovery College offers hope and opportunity to everyone who attends within the community.
“We have a full timetable of courses and workshops throughout the Western Trust area, and also online via Microsoft Teams. Courses are open to all – those who use services, people with mental health issues whether diagnosed or otherwise, carers and supporters, students, health professionals; anyone interested in learning more about Mental Health and Wellbeing is welcome to attend.
