Derry man returned for trial on drugs and driving charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug and driving charges. 

Dean Hutton (31) of Ebrington Oaks in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today. 

He is charged with being concerned in the supply of class A  drugs on August 5 2024.

He was also charged with possessing class A drugs on the same date and possessing class C drugs. 

Hutton was further charged with driving while disqualified, taking a vehicle without permission and having no insurance on tge same date.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Hutton said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court and remanded in continuing custody.
