A man charged with affray and disorderly behaviour in Sackville Street in Derry on Christmas Eve has appeared at the local Magistrate's Court today charged with breaching his bail.

Dean Clark (29) with an address at Haywood Avenue in Belfast breached his bail by not being at his designated address during curfew.

A police officer told the court that police were attending another incident at 2.35am when Clark ran away from them and it was discovered he had breached his bail.

Defence counsel Grainne McAnaney said that her client had issues with his address but bail was agreed.

The police officer said bail could be agreed on condition that the defendant is fitted with an electronic tag.
