At a time when young people are being asked to make life-shaping decisions earlier than ever, one truth remains clear: there is more than one path to success.
For many school leavers, skills training, Apprenticeships and Craft Training offer something equally powerful — real skills, real experience and real opportunity.
That is why Craft Training, one of the region’s largest and leading training providers, is opening its doors during NI Apprenticeship Week, running from Monday, February 2 to Friday, February 6, to showcase what modern apprenticeships and practical pathways truly look like.
Across the week all Craft Training branches will come alive with showcase events designed to inform, inspire and engage. From guest speakers, employers talks and competitions to hands-on ‘Test a Trade’ experiences, visitors will have the chance to step inside real training environments and see professionals in action.
This is not about watching from the sidelines — it’s about rolling up your sleeves, having a go and discovering what you’re capable of.

As part of Apprenticeship Week, branch open days will take place in Strabane, Derry and Omagh giving school leavers, parents and career-changers the opportunity to explore facilities, meet trainers and ask the questions that truly matter.
Whether your interest lies in construction, animal care, childcare, retail or beyond, Craft Training offers a clear, supported route into skilled employment with over 60 qualifications to choose from.
Importantly, this week isn’t just for school leavers. If you’re already in work but unsure of your next step, each Craft Training branch has a designated careers advisor ready to help you navigate progression opportunities, upskilling and Apprenticeships that fit around your current job. Career development doesn’t stop once you’re employed — and neither should guidance.

Craft Training’s message is simple but powerful: skills matter. Apprenticeships provide industry-recognised qualifications, hands-on experience and a direct link to employers who need skilled, motivated people now more than ever. They build confidence, independence and long-term career prospects.
This Apprenticeship Week, Craft Training invites you to come and see, come and try and come and be inspired. Pick up practical tips, gain real insight and become aware of the opportunities that exist right on your doorstep.
