Major traffic flow changes announced on Asylum Road

The PSNI have advised motorists of significant changes to traffic flow and road signage on Asylum Road in Derry, effective immediately.

The new layout is designed to manage local traffic more effectively and improve safety.

A PSNI spokesperson stated: “You can no longer use Asylum Road as a cut through to Strand Road from the Northland Road / Francis Street.

"The junction from Asylum Road and Princes Street is now right turn only with the road straight ahead to Woodleigh Terrace / Bayview Terrace now a no entry.

"Please familiarise yourself with the new road signs as any breaches can result in a Fixed Penalty Notice.”
