Derry man to face trial over GBH and affray charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on charges of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily hard, criminal damage and causing an affray following a Preliminary Enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court.

Jake Conroy-Donohoe (21) of no fixed abode was charged with the offences that were said to have occurred on April 10 this year.

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

Conroy-Donohoe chose not to submit any statements and not to call any witnesses.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 6 next year and remanded in continuing custody.
