A woman has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court following a breach of bail three days after it had been granted.

Courtney Temple (21) of Magazine Street in Derry had been granted bail on November 22 on conditions including she abstain from alcohol, she follow a curfew and she have no contact with her father.

On November 25, police received a report from her father that she was at his address, intoxicated and shouting at around two in the morning.

When police arrived, she gave a breath reading of 91mgs.

Police objected to bail as this was her fifteenth breach and they say they have zero confidence she will abide by any conditions.

Defence solicitor Paddy McGurk described Temple as a 'very vulnerable young girl' who is a 'chronic alcoholic'.

Bail was refused and she will appear again on December 15.
