Body of a man recovered from water at north-west Donegal beach

'Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of an individual unresponsive in the water,' a garda spokesperson said.  'The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A file will now be prepared for the Coroner'

The body was recovered from the water at Ballyness, Falcarragh, at approximately 3.30pm

A man's body was recovered from a north-west Donegal beach on Wednesday.

The body was recovered from the water at Ballyness, Falcarragh, at approximately 3.30pm.

"Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of an individual unresponsive in the water," a garda spokesperson said.

"The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A file will now be prepared for the Coroner."
