Traffic disruption warning issued ahead of weekend Easter Derry parades

Drivers are urged to leave extra time for their journey, or seek an alternative route.

PSNI officers injured in car ramming incident involving stolen car in Derry

PSNI are advising road users and the public in Derry of some possible traffic disruption in the city on Sunday (20 April) due to planned parades.

At 1.00pm, a parade is scheduled to leave from Cromore Gardens, towards Linsfort Drive, Iniscarn Road, Eastway Road, Elmwood Terrace to Westland Street for dispersal at 2.00pm.

A second parade, scheduled to start at 2.00pm, will leave from Lecky Road towards Westland Street, Elmwood Terrace, Eastway Road, Iniscarn Crescent and into the City Cemetery.

The return route is from 5.00pm, from the City Cemetery, Iniscarn Crescent, Iniscarn Road, Linsfort Drive to Central Drive. 

Please be aware there may be some traffic disruption so, to avoid any delays, drivers are urged to leave extra time for their journey, or seek an alternative route.
