Award-winning Irish language author Róise Ní Bhaoill
Derry City and Strabane District Council will host a special lunchtime event next month to celebrate Irish Language Week 2024.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 5th March 2024 at 1.00pm in Derry’s Guildhall.
It will offer local audiences a unique opportunity to hear firsthand a selection of readings in the Irish language by award-winning Irish language author Róise Ní Bhaoill whose recently-published collection of short stories – Imram - won the Irish language fiction book the year award in November 2023.
As demand for this event is expected to be high, audiences are asked to reserve their place in advance by contacting Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Languages Team on T: 028 71 376 579 or by emailing gaeilge@derrystrabane.com.
