A 45-year-old man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of child sex charges.
The man who cannot be named to protect the identity of the alleged victim appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.
He was charged with 5 charges of intentionally touching sexually a female child under 13 years of age.
He also faced 7 charges of indecent assault on a female child.
All of the charges were said to have occurred on dates between August 20 2014 and July 1 2018.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
The man said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on March 4 and released on bail.
