Search of land near Park village connected to investigation into reports of shots being fired in Derry

The two day search was a follow-up to reports of, and a video showing, shots fired in the Tullymore Road area of Derry last month

The PSNI carried out searches of land near Park village.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch investigating a report of, and video showing, shots fired in the Tullymore Road area of Derry have carried out a follow-up search of land in the Learmount Road area, between Claudy and Park village.

Two men arrested yesterday, February 4, following searches in the Currynierin area as part of the same investigation, were later released following questioning.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The investigation continues, and detectives have reiterated their appeal to anyone with information to contact them on 101.

"Information can also be provided, with total anonymity, to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org."
