The North Derry branch of republican party Saoradh has raised concern over a recent spate of burglaries in the Dungiven area.
Speaking today, a spokesperson for Saoradh North Derry expressed 'serious concern' over the recent burglaries and thefts that have taken place in recent weeks.
It's understood three properties were broken into in the Lackagh Park area last weekend and a van was stolen in the Tracy's Way area of the town on the same night.
Police believe a road traffic collision which happened at Magherabuoy Roundabout in the town is also linked to these incidents.
A Saoradh North Derry spokesperson said: "These incidents have caused understandable distress and anxiety among local residents and represent an unacceptable attack on working-class communities already under pressure.
"We urge everyone in the area to remain vigilant and to take all necessary precautions to protect their homes, outbuildings, and vehicles at all times. Simple measures such as securing doors, gates, sheds, and vehicles can play an important role in preventing further incidents.
"Saoradh North Derry also appeals to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or who has information relating to these burglaries to come forward. Community safety is a collective responsibility, and information shared in confidence with our local representatives can assist efforts to address this situation and restore peace of mind in the area."
The spokesperson added: "Our communities are strongest when we stand together, look out for one another, and refuse to allow criminal elements to undermine the safety and wellbeing of our neighbours."
