Diversions will be in place on part of the Glenshane Road this Sunday.
Part of the A6 Glenshane Road will be closed to traffic on Sunday, January 18 to facilitate roadworks.
The Glenshane Road, from its junction with the U5054 Mullagh Road to its junction with the C0557 Knockloughrim Link Road (Hillhead Road), will be fully closed to all through traffic between the hours of 6am and 8pm.
This is to allow for necessary road improvement works to be carried out along this stretch of the road.
The works are subject to favourable weather conditions and the Department for Infrastructure will keep the public informed of any change.
A spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience and motorists should allow additional time when planning their journeys."

Diversion routes will be in place (see map below) - the red line being the road closed and the purple line being the diversion route.
"Please travel with due care and attention along all diversion routes, especially if the roads are unfamiliar to you," added the spokesperson.
