The PSNI are appealing for information to help them to identify the man.
Police in Magherafelt are appealing for help in identifying the body of a man found in the Diamond area of the town this morning, Sunday, December 14.
Inspector Knipe said: “We believe this gentleman may have gone missing within the last 24 hours and we are asking the public to think about any family members, neighbours or friends that they haven’t seen or heard from – and to check that they are safe and well.
“The gentleman is in his mid-20s and of slim build, with short dark hair and a short dark beard. He also has three piercings in his left ear. He was wearing a navy T-shirt, along with a blue sports top, dark jogging bottoms and black-and-white Adidas shoes.
“He has no personal items that could help with identification.
“If anyone believes that they can help police identify this gentleman, or if you have information that could help with our enquiries, please contact us on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 330 of 14/12/25.
“Police are not treating the death as suspicious at this time.”
