Fabulous 'Rise the Dust' set to raise the roof

Fabulous 'Rise the Dust' set to raise the roof at Derry's Christmas sets céilí in Guildhall.

Set dancers from all over Ireland will descend on Derry for the Derry City Set Dancers annual Christmas Sets Céilí.

Speaking to Derry News, Joe Quinn from the said: “Our sets céilí is taking place in the Guildhall on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. 

“Music will be provided by the fantastic Rise the Dust and admission is £10 (€12). Everybody is very, very welcome. It will be a great afternoon’s craic.

“So, if you have music in your soul and dancing in your soles, we’ll see you in the Guildhall next month, where we will definitely be dancing the Derry Set, written by the late, great Frankie Roddy, of ‘Rock Around the Clock Fame.'"
