Famous Aran Knitwear shop set to close its doors

Popular Aran Knitwear shop, Kennedy’s of Ardara, will be closing its doors at the end of the month.

Shop owners Connell and Maria are planning to retire from the shop, which has been in the family since 1902 and is well known throughout Ireland.

The owners took to Facebook to say their farewells and thanks to their customers over the years. They said “We wish to thank the many loyal customers through the years who have visited our store from all over the world. We enjoyed the chats and banter and will always cherish fond memories of your visits.

“We hope our paths will continue to cross in the years ahead, and friendships remain.”
