In the last count announced in the Foyle Arena today, Ms O'Neill, who stood in the Moor, failed to hold her seat.
The councillors elected were: John Boyle (SDLP), Gary Donnelly (Independent), Aisling Hutton (Sinn Féin), Patricia Logue (Sinn Féin), and Emma McGinley.
