Season three of the hit Channel 4 show will compete against Argentinian show El Encargado, season two of French show Le Flambeau and Indian show Vir Das: Landing
When the nod was announced in September, Derry Girls writer and creator Lisa McGee shared a brief comment on X expressing her delight.
Posting on the social media formerly Twitter, Lisa said she was 'buzzing with our nomination'.
International Academy President & CEO Bruce Paisner said:

Derry Girls joins nominees from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Qatar, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
All Nominees convened in New York at The International Emmy World Television Festival for Nominee Panels & Presentations and special events, from 17 to 19 November.
