March Against Genocide

On Tues Oct 8th, there will be a ‘March Against Genocide’ in Bellaghy, South Derry. Organised by the Mid Ulster Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Assembling outside Seamus Heaney Homeplace at 6:15, the march will leave at 6:30. The march will be  for peace in the Middle East and for an end to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen and beyond. Particularly in light of international events of historic military proportion, in the region over the past couple of days.

Participants are encouraged to bring banners and placards speaking out against the genocide and calling for an immediate halt to arms to Israel. For those without banners there will be a large “Red Line” ribbon. At the end of the march there will be several speakers, including Bernadette McAliskey and Saeb Shaath, as well as members of the Mid Ulster IPSC. Ending with some live music.
