ITUS Secure Technologies, a local IT security business with offices in Derry, Belfast and Letterkenny, has been shortlisted to participate in the Lloyd's Lab Accelerator Pitch Day. They are the only company shortlisted with offices in Northern Ireland. This coincides with a planned phase of growth for the company which includes job creation, a new funding round and ongoing development of its MSP partner programme.
ITUS was chosen from a record 220 applicants worldwide and is one of just 20 companies invited to present at the iconic Lloyd's Building in London for the opportunity to secure a place on the globally recognised 10-week programme.
Founded in 2018 by Dr Clare Ryan and Paul Daly, ITUS Secure Technologies currently employs six staff locally. The company has developed ITUS Protect, a SaaS platform designed to help SMEs demonstrate cyber resilience and provide insurers with real-time cyber risk intelligence to support underwriting and risk management decisions.
Co-founder Dr. Clare Ryan commented: "We are delighted to be shortlisted for Lloyd's Lab Accelerator Pitch Day. This is a significant milestone for our team. Our work through ITUS Protect aligns strongly with the themes of this cohort, particularly around resilience, new approaches to risk insight, and supporting better insurance decision-making."
She continues, "The cyber insurance gap facing small businesses is a growing concern. Many SMEs lack the resources to demonstrate their cyber resilience effectively, while insurers need better data to make informed underwriting decisions. ITUS Protect bridges this gap by providing real-time cyber risk intelligence that benefits both parties."

Following the Lloyd's Lab shortlisting, ITUS Secure Technologies is accelerating its growth strategy with several key initiatives.
The company is launching an expanded MSP (Managed Service Provider) partner programme, enabling IT service providers to integrate ITUS Protect into their client offerings and help more small businesses access cyber resilience tools and insurance-ready risk assessments.
ITUS is also opening a new funding round to support platform development and market expansion, with details to be announced in the coming months. Additionally, the company plans to grow its team locally across its Derry, Belfast and Letterkenny offices, creating new opportunities in software development, cybersecurity, and commercial roles.
Dr Ryan concluded: “This recognition validates our approach and comes at an exciting time for the company. We're building a team, expanding our partner network, and preparing for our next phase of growth, all while staying rooted in the Northwest. We're now focused on preparing for Pitch Day and demonstrating how SME cyber risk data can transform underwriting and resilience "
